We've Got BIG News!

After years of planning and growing, our crew is joining the 826 Network! Our center is now named 826 MSP, but our store, where you can purchase student anthologies and other merch to support our free programs, will remain Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute. We can’t wait to tell you more about the amazing work of the acclaimed 826 Network!

826 National is an organization centered around amplifying youth voices through free writing, tutoring, and publishing programs. All 826 programs look to involve students, teachers, and communities in their work. 826 believes that through writing, students can expand their creativity, learn about who they are, appreciate each other and themselves, and succeed academically. Each center has after-school tutoring programs, in-school publishing projects, field trips, and writing workshops--just like us! 826 MSP will be the ninth chapter in the network, joining eight other major cities throughout the United States serving approximately 78,000 students annually at their chapters and online via 826 Digital.
