826 MSP is so excited to share that our team has grown! Meet Aminah Hussein, our new Community Engagement Manager.

1. What is your favorite sea creature?

My favorite sea creature currently is the Leafy Sea Dragon. 

2. What is your favorite book, and what about that book captivates you?

My favorite book is Holes by Louis Sachar. I read it when I was in 4th grade, and I still read it to this day. What captivates me about it is its ability to keep me returning  after all these years.

3. What brought you to 826 MSP?

Youth development is very important work. A society that invests in its youth is investing in its future. As cliche as that might sound, it's pure truth. 826 MSP’s commitment to amplifying youth voices and providing a creative outlet for them is what brought me to it.     

4. Why is empowering students to think creatively, write effectively, and succeed academically important to you?

It is important to me because I believe it sets them up for success in adulthood. They will be much better prepared for college and what comes after.
