Marlon James & Maria Isa on 11/19!

Social Media Books for Breakfast 2020 with Maria Isa.png

Books for Breakfast (at home!) is just one week away, and we have some exciting news! Not only will you hear from Marlon James, 826 MSP's young writers, and local educators on the theme of Anti-Racism in Education... you will also hear student writing elevated and (literally) amplified in a whole new way.

Maria Isa, talented Boricua (BO-REE-KWA) musician and 826 MSP teaching artist, will be premiering a new song which features the words of our young writers! Be the first to hear this new piece, and get a sneak preview of the the newest Young Authors' Book Project publication, Words Unburden Me, written by three classes of multilingual/English Language Learning students at South High.

We want everyone to be able to support our young writers by attending this event. If the $25 ticket price is a barrier for you, email Ashley@826msp.org for reduced-price options.

See you on the 19th!
