Essential Words for Essential Workers

At top of mind for all of us is the immense gratitude we feel for those who are still working. The young authors served by 826 MSP also feel this gratitude. They wanted the chance to express their thanks to all of the heroic people who are keeping us healthy, fed, and safe. To impart the importance of a strong thank-you letter, our Program Director, Cristeta Boarini, and Skylar Burkhardt from 826 National, created a lesson called “ESSENTIAL WORDS: LETTERS OF GRATITUDE TO ESSENTIAL WORKERS.”

We have enacted this lesson with students in the newly formed Young Authors’ Council, and the letters they wrote have been sent to Children’s Hospital.
